The healthcare industry is looking for qualified caregivers to aid the aging population of the United States. Opportunities exist across the country with positions waiting to be filled. Tennessee Tech now offers students and community members the opportunity to gain measurable skills and knowledge in addition to the education they are currently pursuing or have already earned. Caregiving courses are open to Tennessee Tech students for academic credit, working professionals for professional development, and community members for enrichment and skill development.
The Tennessee Tech Caregiving Center is designed to address the growing need for trained caregivers and provide support for the non-professional caregiver.
The Tennessee Tech Caregiving Center will address the need for training, resource identification, support for care providers (Respite Care), and the need for an equipment bank for families.
