Mission 

The Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL) seeks to foster a culture of teaching and learning that is engaged, innovative, transformative, and purposeful. We are here to provide faculty development opportunities, instructional technology support and training, and instructional design assistance that will help prepare you for wherever your course may go.

We focus on providing all faculty with impactful resources to help further their careers and improve their teaching. In order to do this, we focus on three primary areas: 

Providing & Creating resources, tools, and services to sustain and encourage innovating design and progressive teaching methods. 
Fostering a culture of collaboration across campus and within all departments, schools, and classrooms. 
Supporting faculty through one-on-one consultations, individual assistance, just-in-time resources, and more. 
We believe that teaching and learning are critical elements to a successful education for our students. These are skills that our faculty can continue to learn and refine throughout the course of their careers. We are committed to providing the resources and support needed to promote best practices, as well as adovacting for the needs of our faculty in acheiving this goal. 

Through the combination of quality course design and properly applied technology, teaching can become a transformative process that enhances learning within all types of classrooms, from on-site to online. We are committed to being a part of this purposeful transformation at Tennessee Tech.
