In this session, we will discuss the importance of critical thinking as it prepares students for a lifetime of thinking and learning independently. We will cover ways to implement critical thinking exercises in the classroom, knowing what you know (metacognition), in-context learning, and inductive / deductive reasoning.

During this session, we discuss the importance of critical thinking within your course. We discuss what questions to ask and assignments to implement to promote critical thinking and how to teach critical thinking skills such as discussing various points of view, asking questions, decision making, creativity, and connecting ideas.
