Full Admission Requirements

  • A combined score of 10 points or more on the MBA Admissions Matrix
  • Minimum score of 500 on the Graduate Management Admissions Test OR an equivalent score on the General Record Exam. Applicants may request to waive the standardized test requirement if they have completed an advanced terminal degree or master's degree with a substantial quantitative component. This waiver is not guaranteed and the request must be made in writing.
  • Students are also required to be proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software including the integration of all three.

Provisional Admission Requirements*^

  • Minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Minimum score of 1,000 on the index formula
  • Submission of official GMAT or GRE test scores

*Students admitted provisionally must maintain a minimum of a 3.0 GPA in the first nine** (9) hours of core coursework.

^ Provisional admission does not apply for students in the Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program.

**ECON6050 must be taken within the first nine (9) hours of the student's program.

APPLICATION PROCEDUREs

This is your online application guide. The steps below explain the application process. If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Graduate Studies at 931-372-3233.

Step 1

Apply online for Graduate School admissions along with nonrefundable application fee $35 domestic students, $40 international students.

By applying online, you will be able to upload the documents needed to complete Steps 2 through 5 of the application process. We will still need OFFICIAL test score reports and transcripts, but the uploaded copies will allow us to proceed with the processing of your application.

Step 2

Complete and mail one pdf_icon_smLetter of Recommendation

Step 3

Official transcripts from ALL institutions attended beyond high school. Official transcripts are sent directly from the institution to Tennessee Tech, not submitted by the student. International students may submit attested transcripts. Official copies are to be sent directly to Office of Graduate Studies.

Step 4 - On-campus students only

Documentation required of 2 MMR vaccinations as well as 2 doses of the Varicella (chicken pox) vaccine. International students must also provide documentation of the TB Skin Test completed within 6 months prior to registration. This documentation is required prior to registration.

Step 5

Official score report from the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or General Test of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).

Your application fee should be paid with your online application. If you did not pay your application fee during the online application process, please pay your fee here: Application Fee Payments

Once all materials have been received, the application file will be evaluated for admission by the College of Business Graduate Office. After an admission recommendation is made, Graduate Studies will notify the student.
