TTU MBA Goes High Tech

In August 19, 2002, TTU’s MBA Program launched its new Distance MBA. Designed to broaden the reach of the current MBA, this new program promises to be an exciting new challenge for a Business School that has already proven itself to be innovative and creative.

The new DMBA combines the power of the internet, the availability of web-based course management software, and the unique production and development capabilities of the College of Business’ Business Media Center with the abundant teaching talents of the College of Business faculty. Students will now be able to complete coursework, participate in class discussions, and even make group presentations without ever having to leave the comfort of their living rooms. In addition, the flexible nature of the distance education concept eliminates the need for scheduled weekly class meetings that may be inconvenient for some working students.

Dean Niebuhr feels strongly that this new program will make a TTU MBA available to more people. “There are literally thousands of people out there who want to further their education, but have been stymied by the responsibilities of their careers and their life situations. Particularly for those who travel, this kind of program opens a whole new world of opportunity.”
