Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)
COVID-19: Ways to keep you and others healthy on campus
Remember some people may have COVID-19 and not even know it.
Fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a face covering or physically distancing, except where required like inside Tech Health Services. Get your vaccine on campus at Tech Health Services. Call ahead to schedule at (931) 372-3320. COVID-19 vaccines are given free of charge.
Per CDC guidelines, you are considered fully vaccinated:
- 2 weeks after your second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, OR
- 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine
If you don’t meet these requirements, regardless of your age, you are NOT fully vaccinated. Keep taking all precautions until you are fully vaccinated.
1. Wash your hands often and especially after coughing or sneezing.
Wash with soap and water for 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
2. Avoid touching your face, eyes, nose and mouth.
3. Cover coughs and sneezes.
If not wearing a face covering, use tissue OR into your elbow.
Do not remove face covering to cough or sneeze.
4. Maintain social distancing.
Stay 6 feet apart. Follow signs for social distancing on and off campus. Avoid large crowds.
5. If not vaccinated wear a face covering while in public to protect yourself and
those around you.
Continue to use social distancing even while wearing a face covering.
