Appalachian Center for Craft

Artist in Residence Program Summary

The Artist in Residence (AIR) program is a one year appointment renewable for up to three years. The AIR program allows emerging professional artists to work in the environment of the Craft Center. Each studio (clay, fibers, glass, metals and wood) has an Artist in Residence with a BFA, MFA or professional equivalent. The AIR program uses a competitive application process to fill these five positions.

Our Artists in Residence come from all over the country and abroad to live and work at the Craft Center. These individuals are invaluable to the educational programs of the Craft Center providing additional artistic perspectives, expertise and experiences to our students.
