Fall and spring workshops are designed to give complete beginners, advanced beginners, or those who want to brush up their skills access to hands-on experiences in blacksmithing, clay, fibers, glass, metals and wood.
Hours: Most one-day workshops meet 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturdays except as noted in workshop descriptions. Most multi-day workshops meet Saturdays 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sundays 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Location: All workshops take place on the campus of the Appalachian Center for Craft in Smithville, Tennessee, in our professionally equipped studios.
Materials, Tools, and Equipment: All materials are included in the workshop fee for one-day workshops. Multi-day workshops participants must purchase their materials. All participants may use all of the tools and equipment required for their classes during their workshop. Participants may bring their own tools if they wish.
Lunch: Lunch is included in the fee for workshops that meet from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Lunch is not included for workshops that meet for 30 minutes.
Refund Policy: A non-refundable processing fee of $25 is included in the workshop fee. The Craft Center may offer a refund, less the $25 non-refundable processing fee, if a participant notifies that Craft Center of his/her cancellation no later than 30 days prior to the workshop.
