Bio

From elementary schools in Jacksonville, FL to graduate studies at Tennessee Tech University, Angie’s unique career path has spanned the country. As a classroom tutor in Jacksonville, FL Angie prepared students for examinations, helping schools achieve a 96% graduation success rate. Following a move to Baltimore, MD in 2006, she graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and later became the director of Childtime.

At Childtime, a pre-school located at the Inner Harbor in downtown Baltimore, Angie managed a team of 13 early childhood education professionals who increased enrollment by 50% while maintaining NAEYC accreditation. In 2011, Angie began her career at Tennessee Tech working as the Home Stay Coordinator for the TN Tech Foreign Language School where she taught English as a second language, managed student housing, and mentored students as they adapted to living in the United States.

In 2014, Angie joined the staff of the College of Business assisting graduate students and business professionals interested in earning a MBA or Masters of Accountancy. Angie earned a master’s degree from the College of Education in 2016 with a concentration in educational psychology and counseling.

A native of Kentucky, Angie has developed an affinity for the Upper Cumberland having completed the yearlong Leadership Putnam class graduating in 2019. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her husband, family, friends, and her four-legged children.
