About
Dr. Seale received his Ph.D. from the Creative Writing Program at the University of Georgia in 2020 and his M.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville in 2014. He is currently working on a collection of linked flash fiction as well as his first novel. His creative work has appeared in journals such as Open Minds Quarterly, The Magnolia Review, Down in the Dirt, Flash Fiction Magazine, Bull and Cross, Red Dirt Forum, Grist, Red Fez, Dead Mule, and The Emerson Review, among others. He hails from rural west Alabama and has been teaching college writing since 2011.
Dr. Seale primarily teaches composition courses, but his research interests include fiction writing, specifically literary realism, and American literature, with specializations in southern literature and African American literature.
