Laura M. Graves is a professor in Special Education at Tennessee Technological University. Her experience includes 18 years of public school teaching in both special education and general education classrooms. She has served as a cadre member for Reading First; served on the Disability Services ADA Advisory Committee, Faculty Senate and Administrative Council, and Co-Chairs the Assessment Committee in Curriculum and Instruction. She was also the BASE-TN Service Obligation and Employment Verification Coordinator for the Special Education Summer Institute and Become a Special Education Teacher in Tennessee (BASE-TN). Dr. Graves is active in teaching pre-service and graduate level courses as well as developing new licensure programs. She served as the PI for the NSF Grant Effects of Teaching with Tablet PCs with Asynchronous Access in Post-Secondary STEM Courses on Students with Learning Disabilities (TTASA-SWLD) [award #0726449]. Dr. Graves also works closely with colleagues in Russia developing inclusive programing for students with special needs.
