Introducing the ASCEND Club Officers:
Dillon Reed, President
I am a Secondary Education major here at TTU with a concentration in English. I have a love for all literature, but my favorite is Eighteenth Century American Lit. My past leadership experience includes serving as president of my high school FFA Chapter and Drama club, as well as active membership in various service organizations such as Lions Clubs International. I look forward to serving the ASCEND Club as president for the coming year.
TaraJayne Kimbrough, Vice President
Hi, I'm TaraJayne Kimbrough. I will be representing you as Vice President of the Ascend Club. I am looking forward to a great year of fun and learning. I will be a senior in the College of Education starting in August, I will graduate May 2015 with a degree in Elementary Education. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have throughout the year at email@example.com.
Ashton "Niki" Ables, Treasurer
Hey guys! My name is Ashton Ables, but you can call me Niki. I am your current treasurer of the ASCEND club and I am so excited to get this club started. I am currently a freshman here at the beautiful Tennessee Technological University. I am a Child and Family Studies major and love my major. I am also the secretary of the Rotaract club here at Tech and I am on leadership at the BCM. I can’t wait to get this new year started with this awesome new club with great new people.
Dara Smith, Secretary
I’m the new secretary for the ASCEND Club Spring and fall 2014 year. I’m a senior here at TTU majoring in CFS: Early Childhood Education/Special Education. I will be beginning my Residency this fall. Education in young children has always been a passion of mine. I love working with children and my main goal is to inspire children to embrace education through my teaching strategies. I’m very excited I have been given the opportunity to be a part of the ASCEND Club to help spread the word about student centered learning and diversity in classrooms!
