The Department of Exercise Science, Physical Education and Wellness Welcomes You!
Our rapidly growing degree programs for undergraduates and graduate students offer a wide range of cutting-edge career concentrations preparing our alumni for successful and rewarding careers. The goal of the EXPW department and our dedicated, diverse faculty is to prepare the students to be competitive and comfortable in their chosen career when they leave our programs.
From the university classroom and hands-on field experiences to student teaching residencies and online graduate programs, EXPW students are prepared with the tools, knowledge and skills needed for careers teaching physical education or health, the fitness industry or corporate wellness, coaching, sport administration, occupational therapy, physical therapy, recreation, and many other related fields.
We also provide a wide range of programs and opportunities for non-majors interested in participating in physical activity courses as electives or just for fun! Join us for Slimnastics or water aerobics for toning and sculpting, experience weight training, learn how to swim, play tennis or badminton. We also offer off-campus activities including firearm safety, archery, or CrossFit. (Some courses on- and off-campus require additional fees.)
Whatever your interests are in the field, the EXPW department will assist you in developing a sound educational and experiential background to achieve your career and life goals.
