Christy joined the U.S. Department of Energy in 2009 as a member of the NNSA Future Leaders Program. She is currently the lead safety basis engineer assigned to multiple, complex, hazardous nuclear facilities at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She was recently chosen as one of 14 NNSA employees for the newly established Mid-Level Leadership Development Program. In her free time, Christy loves to dance and travel the world.

Gerrell Johnson, of is a production supervisor at PepsiCo, where he focuses on the management of frontline employees, while participating in various focused improvement projects.  While at Tennessee Tech, Gerrell was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., where he served as its president and Treasurer.  Gerrell is currently enrolled in the Masters of Business Administration program at Louisiana State University. He enjoys travelling, CrossFit and sports.

Savannah graduated from Tech summa cum laude and in cursu honorum. Her senior year, she was president of the Autonomous Robotics Club and chairman of the student chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in electrical engineering with a focus in radar and controls at the University of Alabama. She is a member of YACE, and the honors alumni advisory council. Savanah’s husband John is also a Tech ’15 electrical engineering alumnus

Spencer Tidwell

Spencer works in Hydroquinone Process Improvement Support for Eastman Chemical Company. He leads the Benzoflex Improvement Team, which provides worldwide support for Eastman’s specialty plasticizers business. Spencer started with Eastman in 2010 as an intern. He also completed two internships with PPG Industries, Inc., in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Spencer is also a member of the Department of Chemical Engineering Advisory Board for Tennessee Tech. He enjoys golf, tennis and cruising around the world.
