Young Alum Nemoy Rau wins AIChE "35 under 35" award

Nemoy Rau, Tech ‘08 chemical engineering alumnus, was honored as an American Institute of Chemical Engineering Young Professional. Rau was recognized as one of AIChE’s “35 under 35 chemical engineers,” for his significant contributions to AIChE and his profession.

College of Engineering at Tennessee Tech is energized by new dean and return of students

Faculty and staff at the College of Engineering at Tennessee Tech University are always motivated at this time of year. The start of fall semester marks renewed energy as students return to campus. This semester there is added anticipation with the announcement of a new dean. Darrell E.P. Hoy, was recently named interim dean for the College of Engineering, replacing Joseph J. Rencis who had served since 2011.

Students for the Exploration and Development of space to gather at Tech for eclipse

For Tennessee Tech student Nathan Daniel and others in Tech’s Students for the Exploration and Development of Space chapter, an interest in what’s happening in space is innate.

On Monday, Aug. 21, when a total solar eclipse crosses over a stretch of North America, leaving Tennessee Tech right in the path of totality, they will join thousands of others with their eyes to the sky.
