NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP)
This program provides educational opportunities for Undergraduate Students, Graduate Students.
The Office of Research wants to remind you that the National Science Foundation announced the fall deadlines for students to apply to the Graduate Research Fellowship program. The GRFP provides three years of support for the graduate education of eligible individuals who have demonstrated their potential for significant research achievements in STEM or STEM education. Applications for this program are submitted directly by the student in the research.gov GRFP Application Module (https://www.research.gov/grfp/Login.do); however, we ask that all students planning to apply contact Jamie Murdock at (firstname.lastname@example.org) so we can ensure that all applicable internal paperwork is prepared prior to submission. Idea Challenge Nov. 11 - $2,000 in prizes!
- Who: All students, all programs, across campus!
- What: Come up with an idea for a product, business, service, etc. Give a 90 second pitch in front of our panel of judges and compete for a $1,000 first prize!
- Why: Creative problem solving, gain confidence, share an idea, win prizes, and have fun!
- When: Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 6 p.m.
- Where: Wherever you are! This year’s challenge is virtual!
Students can compete alone or in teams, and will have 90 seconds to pitch their idea – no PowerPoint, no Q&A. Your idea doesn’t need to be fully thought out, but it should be feasible and solve a problem. Get creative and think big! Multiple prizes will be awarded!

The Holistic Foundry Undergraduate Engaged Learners (FUEL) program is recruiting 30 undergraduate freshmen and sophomore engineering majors who are interested in engaging in research that is both socially impactful and relevant. FUEL students will work with our Rural Reimagined economic partners to develop student-team research projects geared towards positively affecting our local region. This program will feature research training, presentation opportunities, outreach opportunities, and a chance to earn a $600 stipend. FUEL will begin in the Spring 2021 semester.
