NSBE General Body Meeting TODAY Thursday, Nov. 14th from 11-noon in Johnson Hall, Room 308. Guest speaker Charria Campbell, Director of Multicultural Affairs will be speaking on The Importance of Women Empowerment.

Undergraduate STEM Research Seminar: Dr. Matthew Fritts, University of Minnesota - This week in the Undergraduate STEM Research Seminar series, University of Minnesota researcher Dr. Matthew Fritts will be visiting to talk about his work literally listening for the sound of Dark Matter in very cold, very "quiet" detectors developed for an experiment called "SuperCDMS". The seminar will be this Friday (Nov. 15th) at 3 p.m. in Foundation Hall, Room 238, with refreshments served at 2:30 p.m. Visit the seminar webpage to see Dr. Fritts' full abstract. This seminar series is geared for undergraduates from any STEM major, but graduate students and faculty are also encouraged to attend.

CMR LIGHTNING ROUNDS! Hear the graduate students of the Center for Manufacturing Research describe their Masters and PhD research in a lightning-fast format.  Presenters include Allen Yu, Hao Lu, Seymur Hasanov, Kuo Yang, Josh Daugherty, and Andreas Sauter of ME and Riri Oderhohwo of ECE. Apply to be an Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leader for the College of Engineering, earning $10 per hour for up to 10 hours per week in the spring semester. We are offering positions for CSC 1300, CSC 1310, and ENGR 1120. To be an SI Leader, you must have earned a B or an A in the course, be able to attend that course, be able to offer 2-3 hours of help sessions per week, and attend meetings with Dr. Powell.
