    iMakerSpace Pancake Day with PancakeBot

    11 a.m.  – noon | iMakerspace in Volpe Library 348

    Come visit the iMakerspace in Volpe Library 348 from 11am to 12pm on Feb. 10 to enjoy some pancakes and see some of the cool things the iMakerspace has to offer! You will be able to design and “print” your own pancakes via the PancakeBots in the space!

    Position Open: Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leader

    We are taking applications for an SI Leader for the following class (one of the following sections):

      • ENGR 1120-021, MW 9-9:50 and MW 10-10:50
      • ENGR 1120-022, MW 9-9:50 and MW 11-11:50
      • ENGR 1120-023, MW 9-9:50 and MW 1-1:50

    This position is for an undergraduate engineering major who has completed ENGR 1120 (MATLAB) with a B or higher. In this position, the SI Leader will attend the assigned ENGR 1120 section and will hold extra sessions outside of class. The expectations are 10 hours of work per week, at $10/hour.     Kandy Thevar International Engineering Student Endowed Award - APPLY NOW!

    Any College of Engineering graduate, international student who meets the criteria outlined below will be eligible for this scholarship.

    Must be a current graduate student in good standing, having completed a minimum of nine (9) credit hours of graduate coursework, in accordance with current institutional policies.

    The candidate should be in possession of a valid student visa for the duration of the scholarship.

    Secondary preference should be given to students from Annamalai University, India, from which Dr. Deivanayagam graduated in 1963.

    The minimum annual scholarship award will be $1,500. An individual can receive this award one time only; this scholarship is not renewable.

    Graduation Requirements

    Are you graduating this May? If yes, then you will need to take the senior exit exam, registration for the exam will open in a week, but did you know you could be exempt from the exam if you meet the following qualifications?

    You are exempt from taking the senior exit exam if:

    • English is your second language.
    • You attended high school outside of the United States.
    • You hold a previous B.A./B.S. degree.
    • You have been out of high school more than 15 years.
    • You are a TN eCampus student.
    • You are apart of the 2+2 program.

    If you meet any of the qualifications above please fill out the short exemption for instead of taking the exam.

    The Society of Women Engineers will be having a Valentine's Day bake sale this Monday, Feb. 14, from 10:30 a.m.  to 2 p.m. in the South Atrium of the Lab Science Commons (between Einstein's and the dorm side).
