Engineering A Future Summer Camp
June 6-10, 2022
A four-day residential summer camp for rising 8th or 9th grade young women hosted on the Tennessee Tech University campus. This camp is designed to highlight how women are changing the future of STEM. During this camp, students will learn how to innovate and create projects in 7 different engineering and computing fields, while engaging in hands-on projects and experiments, led by Tennessee Tech engineering faculty members. Campers will be mentored by current female engineering students and be introduced to industry leaders in multiple fields of engineering.
- Our Mission
To support young women interested in engineering through engaging hands-on experiments, fellowship with other young women their age, mentorship from current female engineering students, and quality time with current women in engineering.
- What to Expect
Campers will spend four nights in a Tennessee Tech University dormitory. During their stay, campers will engage in daily hands on engineering and computing sessions. In the evenings, campers will spend their time doing fun social activities from bowling and pool parties to star gazing at Shipley Farm. We hope your camper takes home a passion for innovation and a lifetime of great memories.
- Cost & Application Information
Cost: A $50 attendance fee covers all camp activities and a commemorative t-shirt.
Applications are open January 1, 2022- April 1, 2022
- This camp is limited to 30 participants, spots will be given to the applicants with the strongest applications and references.
- Guardians will be notified via email about their camper’s application status on April 15th.
- All camper paperwork and attendances fees are due by May 16th (financial assistance available)
