3D Microscopy Capabilities
Available now to both TTU researchers and external clients, the Zygo NewView 6300 3D Microscope is a recent addition to the CMR's and College of Engineering's equipment capabilities. This equipment can be used for surface profiling, surface roughness testing, and step height measurement, among other uses. The measurement technique is non-contact, three-dimensional, scanning white light and optical phase-shifting interferometry. The maximum scanning range along the vertical axis is 150 μm and the resolution is 0.1 nm.
