We are pleased to announce the Engineering, Computing and Technology Spectrum Awards, which will recognize a diverse body of students across all the degree-granting departments in the College of Engineering for their initiatives and achievements in educational (projects related to course work), research (projects relevant to their discipline) and professional development activities (internship, co-op, or summer job). This award is unique because it will be inclusively for students from all six departments (ChE, CEE, CS, ECE, MET and ME) in the College.
All junior and senior students in the six College of Engineering degree-granting departments, except for previous winners, are welcome to apply for the 2018-2019 Engineering, Computing and Technology Spectrum Awards. Students from underrepresented groups are especially encouraged to participate in order to support and promote diversity.
Two winners will be selected from each College of Engineering department, and each will receive a cash prize of $250 and an award plaque. All winners will be recognized at the Engineers Week Engineering Banquet on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019.
PLEASE apply for this award by filling out an application, linked here. It may be helpful for you to view the questions like an interview in written form. Answering these questions thoughtfully will be good practice for interviews.
The award application deadline is January 29, 2019. Winners will be contacted one week before the award ceremony.
Please contact your referees as soon as possible so that they have enough time. Once you begin the application, you can update your responses until you click the “Done” button at the end. If you submit multiple applications, only the last submitted application will be considered.
If you have any questions or problems, please contact Dr. Martha Kosa at mjkosa @tntech.edu or Dr. Ambareen Siraj asiraj @tntech.edu.
Thanks, and best wishes! Enjoy your winter break!
