2020-2021 Tuition & Fees Summary
Tennessee Tech always wants new students and parents to have the most accurate, clearest information possible about what they can expect to pay in tuition and mandatory fees.
For the 2020-21 academic year, Tennessee Tech may enhance our tuition model to give students and parents even greater clarity on what they will be expected to pay in tuition and mandatory fees. The full-time rate will only be for new students.
A tuition model change is being reviewed by Tech’s Board of Trustees in early March. If the model is approved by the Board and our state agency, we will have good news about the new, full-time undergraduate rate, and the advantages that come with it, by May 1.
As quickly as possible in May, we will share the news about tuition for the next academic year with our students and families. Tennessee Tech families will know about Tech tuition and fees earlier than students and parents choosing other Tennessee public colleges and universities. The other universities most likely won’t share tuition news until the summer months.
The proposed tuition structure is focused on clarity of cost and affordability of a Tennessee Tech bachelor’s degree. Tech is already ranked #1 in Tennessee for return on investment. Many of our students graduate debt-free, and our average starting salary is one of the highest in the state. We are excited to continue to find ways to best serve our students as we prepare them to be career-ready!
Below is an example of the proposed tuition and mandatory fees for the 2020-21 academic year, as well as information on residence hall and meal plan options. For more information about residence hall and meal plan options, click here.
