Jeanne Brady received her MFA in Surface & Textile Design from east Carolina University in 1996 and her BFA in Printmaking & Drawing in 1977.
Jeanne is an energetic teacher, dedicated to giving her students the skills and knowledge to start their careers in fibers. Her fiber work is inspired by her interests in the natural world and her thoughts and observations on everyday life. Much of Jeanne's work utilizes garment forms to reference the human experience.
Her work has been published in magazines including Fiberarts Design Book Seven, American Craft, and Surface Design Journal. She is also represented in both National and International exhibitions, galleries, and private collections.
Recently, Jeanne's fiber work won Best in Show in the Best of Tennessee Exhibition, for her piece It Weighs Heavily...Still.
