2024 Live Audio Cam

                                         Dates to be Announced Soon.

 - Designed for those who want to learn more about mixing sound for the marching arts, musical theater, church, and other large live performance events.  
 - Sessions will introduce participants to the essentials of large audio system design, operation, and maintenance.  
 - Attendees will work with tour grade professional audio equipment in the School of Music at Tennessee Tech.  
 - Attendees will get to meet and work with faculty and majors in the new Live Audio Degree Program at Tennessee Tech.

Festival of Voices 
With over 300 students participating,Tennessee Tech's Festival of Voices features high school students, who participate alongside the Tech Chorale and Concert Choir.
Students also work with a renowned guest clinician.

Young Artist Piano Competition

Held in the Bryan Fine Arts Building’s Wattenbarger Auditorium at Tennessee Tech University, the annual Tennessee Tech University Young Artist Piano Competition is a showcase for young pianists, grades 9-12, in Tennessee.

All-Star Instrumental Symposium

Tennessee Tech School of Music hosts high school students for this annual event, which is traditionally held in November.
This in-person event offers outstanding high school students an opportunity to gain valuable insight and improve their musicianship. Participation is open to high school students (grades 10-12) who play a woodwind, brass, or percussion instrument.
During this one-day event, music faculty will give clinics, teach masterclasses, and provide instruction on all-region etudes.

Annual Festival of Winds and Percussion

Festival of Winds & Percussion 
This is an honor band weekend for high school students which creates an atmosphere of learning and sharing between high school and college students and conductors from the six-state region.
The annual event brings the nation's finest conductors and composers to the Tennessee Tech campus.

2024 FOWAP Audition Packets

The Golden Eagles Band Day is an event that invites high school marching band students—winds/brass/percussion/color guard—to be VIP guests of the Golden Eagle Marching Band for a day. Students will participate in rehearsal and perform in the stands and on the field alongside the GEMB! This event gives students an opportunity to experience what it’s like to be a member of a university marching band.

This year’s Band Day will take place on Saturday, October 21, 2023 during our home game against Southeast Missouri State. The participant cost is $25 which includes a commemorative t-shirt, admission to the game, a meal in the university cafeteria, and water in the stands. The School of Music at Tennessee Tech University will host the inaugural String Symposium on Friday, October 20, 2023 in the Bryan Fine Arts building, located at 1150 N. Dixie Ave. in Cookeville, TN.

This event offers outstanding students an opportunity to gain valuable insight and improve their musicianship. Throughout the day, our string faculty will provide clinics and master classes that focus on all-state etudes, technique, and practice/performance tips. 

Participation is open to high school students (grades 9-12) who play a string instrument. There is no registration fee, but students are responsible for their own lunches. Participants should register for the event by filling out the registration form below and bring their own instrument, if possible. The deadline to register for this event is Monday, October 16, 2023.

This three day camp is open to any student participating in a marching band that currently is a drum major for their school or would like to become one in the future. One year of completed marching band experience is preferred.

2024 Dates: Thursday, June 27th - Saturday, June 29th, 2024.
Ages: Those going into 10th grade and above (at least 14 years old)
Tuition (includes 2 night dorm stay and all meal costs)
   $299: Early Bird Registration (ends May 10th)
