The 58th Annual Festival of Winds and Percussion at Tennessee Tech

The School of Music at Tennessee Tech University will hold the 58th annual Festival of Winds and Percussion on Saturday, February 13, 2021. This virtual event is FREE and will be divided into two tracks: 

TRACK 1—Schedule of Events

 

10:00-11:00 AM: Masterclass Sessions with Applied Faculty Members

Student participants will interact with Tech Music Faculty in virtual masterclasses. To take the most from this experience, participants are strongly encouraged to have their instrument.

11:00-12:00 PM: Clinic Session of Choice

Student participants will choose one of the three clinic sessions below:                                    

    • Jazz Improvisation Clinic with Professor Chris McCormick
    • Composition and Arranging Clinic with Dr. Greg Danner
    • Chamber Ensembles Clinic (ensemble skills and music) with Dr. Mary Matthews and Dr. Matthew Younglove.

Because this is a virtual event, due to COVID-19, space is not limited. Students in grades 9-12 are encouraged to participate.

Participants will register by filling out the appropriate Track registration form below. The deadline to register for this event is Wednesday, February 10, 2021. Participants will be contacted directly with details about how to access the virtual Festival.
