Aid is available through departments and centers in the form of teaching or research assistantships. University wide, about one out of three graduate students receive aid. This varies by discipline. In areas such as engineering it is closer to nine out of ten.
Start the financial aid process with the office of Financial Aid. Their website will highlight what is available in the way of aid including Assistantships, Work Study, and Loans.
Complete the Graduate Assistantship application and send it directly to the department in which you are applying.
