Financial Assistance

Financial assistance is available through departments and centers in the form of teaching or research assistantships. University wide, about one out of three graduate students receive paid assistantships.

TNTech Army ROTC

There are scholarships available for Master's students who are interested in participating in the TTU ROTC program.  Program requirements include being a US citizen and a projected degree completion date by age 29.  As an ROTC participant you will agree to an 8 year commitment (either active or inactive) and with completion of your degree you will be a commissioned 2nd lieutenant in the US Army.  By participating in the ROTC program you may receive a tuition and fees paid scholarship or a lump sum amount each semester ($5,000).  To find out more about the TTU Army ROTC scholarship program, contact 931-372-3574, or visit the website at www.tntech.edu/armyrotc.

Academic Common Market Program

The Academic Common Market (ACM) is a Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) program that offers students the opportunity to study outside their home state and pay in-state tuition rates. Residents of SREB states can pursue studies in selected programs not available in their home states. Programs are available at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Some states limit participation to certain levels, but all SREB states participate. You must be a resident of an SREB state and study at public college or university in another SREB state to qualify.
