If you don't need one of the small, interactive courses offered by Honors, plan ahead for self-designed experiences that can earn Honors credits through Honors Contracts, Experiential Learning, Honors Upper Division in the Major, and Directed Studies. These proposals must be submitted by the posted deadline during the previous semester.

You may request an appointment by sending Dr. Barnes three possible times when you and your faculty mentor are available. Beat the rush and reserve a spot early in the semester. Talk to your Honors Faculty Liaison, a faculty member in your area of study who can help you tailor Honors experiences in your major. Your department's Honors Liaison can support your search for a research mentor who shares your interests, guide you in the preparation of a proposal for an Honors credit-bearing experience, and connect you with opportunities you might not know about!
