Spring 2015 UIFellow

Dr. Holly Stretz mentioned this great program that brings students together from all over the country to make them innovators on their campuses during Abigail's freshman University Connections course. After the class ended, a friend approached her and said, “You should do that. You would be a great Fellow.” Abigail says,

I knew right then I wanted to be a part of the University Innovation Fellows program, because I was so eager to get involved with the I&E community on TN Tech’s campus, as well as across the nation.

As a UIFellow Abigail has worked with the PIP Team (Pathways to Innovation Program) of faculty and students to integrate innovation and entrepreneurship (I&E) into TN Tech’s campus across all disciplines. She hosted I&E sessions during TN Tech’s SOAR 2015 (freshman orientation), because she felt the best way to integrate I&E into TN Tech’s campus was by reaching the incoming students as early as possible and piquing their interests. She thoroughly enjoyed getting to share with the students all of the I&E opportunities TN Tech provides and how they can utilize the opportunities as students to reach their greatest potential in their future careers.
