COVID-19 Reporting and Information • HEERF I & II

Optometrists assist patients with vision and eye care needs, diagnosing problems and prescribing treatments. Most pre-optometry students begin in the pre-optometry curriculum (non-degree) and later declare a major to complete a Bachelor's degree before applying to optometry school. Students in the pre-optometry program are well prepared for the optometry school application process. Optometry schools accept many majors, so students are encouraged to explore a major according to his/her interests and strengths.
