The Interventionist / Biology (6-12) concentration studies the best ways to educate
and improve the lifestyles of children with a range of challenges (learning, cognitive,
behavioral, emotional, physical) and unique gifts. Students in this degree program
will earn teacher licensure for grades 6-12, with content focused on the instruction
of biology in middle and high school. Our program offers a curriculum designed to
provide a strong foundation of teaching skills, access to the latest in educational
strategies, and instructional theory. Students in licensure programs also engage in
extensive clinical experiences in public schools for hands-on training, professional
collaboration, and classroom management. Nationally accredited by the Council for
the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).
