Special education is the study of the best ways to teach and improve the lifestyles
of children, youth and adults with disabilities. Students pursuing this non-licensure
degree will earn a degree with a focus on behavior intervention with children and
adults with severe to profound disabilities, which includes those with learning or
cognitive disabilities as well as those with behavioral, emotional or physical impairments.
This special education curriculum is designed to provide graduates with the needed
foundation to work with individuals with disabilities in a community setting.
