Tennessee Tech students Josh Adair and Mohamed Mubin Mohamed Asraf enjoy the annual International Friends Banquet.

The annual International Friends Banquet at Tennessee Tech will be held Saturday, March 17 at 6 p.m. in the Tech Pride Room of the Roaden University Center.

Nearly 50 years have gone by since Tech’s International Friends organization hosted its first banquet. This semester, the group will do it again, celebrating diversity and different cultures through music, food and fun.

International Friends is a non-profit organization that matches international students at Tech with host families in the community. Attendees are asked to bring a sweet or savory dish to share that represents their culture or heritage.

This is a Center Stage event made possible by the university’s general education fund. It is free and open to the public.

The Roaden University Center is located at 1000 N. Dixie Ave., Cookeville.
