Published: Wed Feb 15, 2006Casting auditions for Tennessee Tech University’s Backdoor Playhouse production of “Look Homeward, Angel” are set for Sunday and Monday, Feb. 26-27, from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 10 p.m., respectively.
Auditions, open to all interested people, will be held at the Backdoor Playhouse, located in the rear of TTU’s Jere Whitson building.
Speaking roles are available for nine females and 11 males, with character ages ranging from 14 to 60.
Scripts are available for 24-hour loan from Director Mark Creter in South Hall, room 225.
After its 1958 premiere, the New York Post proclaimed it as, “one of the finest plays in American dramatic literature.” Based on the novel by Thomas Wolfe, “Look Homeward, Angel” went on to win a Pulitzer Prize.
The TTU production will be presented by Center Stage in cooperation with the English-communications department.
