Lance Durand Bailey, a Tennessee Tech University student from Greeneville, has been slected for a seven-month cooperative education, or co-op, assignment with Volkeswagon Group of America in Chattanooga.
During an assignment that began in June, Bailey will create a database for tracking failures for all the robots in the body shop to be used when production starts.
He is in his third year of the mechanical engineering bachelor's degree program.
Bailey is a 2008 graduate of Greeneville High School.
He is the son of Carol Bailey and Robbie Bailey.
