Tennessee Tech University will award degrees to nearly 800 graduates during commencement Saturday, Dec. 15, at the Hooper Eblen Center.
The graduates are from 71 counties in Tennessee, 29 states and 18 countries, and they have earned degrees in 38 undergraduate majors and 19 graduate programs.
TTU alumnus Beecher Hunter, president of Life Care Centers of America, will deliver the commencement address. He is a former editor of The Cleveland (Tennessee) Daily Banner, a post he held for 13 years. Hunter delivers motivational and inspirational addresses and makes presentations on communications, public relations, marketing and customer service.
Hunter, a Cookeville native who now lives in Cleveland, earned his bachelor’s degree in English at TTU in 1961. He graduated from Cookeville Central High School in 1956.
