Published: Tue Sep 28, 2004Tennessee Tech University’s Department of Music and Art will present the Cumberland Quintet at the Wattenbarger Auditorium in the Bryan Fine Arts Building at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 28.
The show is free and open to the public, and it will include compositions by Reicha, Puccini, Rivera, Damasa and Barrows.
“This program will have something for everyone and it should be an enjoyable evening for all,” says coordinator William Woodworth.
Commanding a large repertoire of music from all periods, the quintet offers the standard woodwind classics as well as exciting modern works and lighter popular music.
The group has performed on live radio and television broadcasts, and has been part of an educational public television series. It has toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, performing to various audiences including the 2004 International Flute Association Convention in August.
