Currently on display in Tennessee Tech’s Appalachian Center for Craft's gallery is “Turnabout: Women at the Lathe” through March 12.

The exhibition features work by more than 25 professional woodturners, all of which are female.

Organized by Tib Shaw, the exhibition aims, “to provide exposure for the talented women artists who are already creating excellent work, and to expose the public and a new generation of women to the possibility of working in wood themselves.”

This exhibition is open daily to the public Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sundays from noon – 5 p.m.

The Appalachian Center for Craft is located approximately six miles from Interstate 40 at exit 273 (Smithville/McMinnville). Go south on Hwy. 56; turn left immediately after crossing Hurricane Bridge. This drive leads to the Craft Center. For more information call 931.372.3051 or visit www.tntech.edu/craftcenter/.
