For five weeks this summer, 36 high school students had the chance to learn what the college experience is like.
The students were part of the Governor’s School for Information Technology Leadership at Tennessee Tech University. They lived in TTU dorms, took two TTU classes and learned how to write a business plan. They left with six hours of college credit.
Stella Parris of St. Andrew’s Sewannee School was chosen to participate in the program.
The students were divided into six groups. Each group developed a complete business plan for an information-technology oriented company.
