Hardeman County student Josh Simer was selected to be part of this year's President's Ambassador team at Tennessee Tech University.

A group of students both undergraduate and graduate who will act as positive examples of the university while offering assistance to students and guests, the President's Ambassadors will welcome people to campus and help answer any and all questions pertaining to the university. They will also serve at various university functions.

"This is a prestigious program at TTU, and I'm honored to work with the prominent young men and women who've been selected to participate. I'm very pleased to have their assistance," said TTU President Bob Bell.

Simer, son of Ronnie and Annette Simer, is an accounting major.

The students in the group may also serve in a student advisory capacity to the president.
