Artist Nathan Hansen’s machine-like sculptures turn art viewers into users, allowing them to engage with and move the parts of his work. The exhibit will be on view from Friday, Jan. 13, until Friday, March 2.
Hansen’s work explores the role of physical interaction in contemporary culture and compares it to a pre-industrialized America.
The Appalachian Center for Craft is conveniently located approximately six miles from Interstate 40 at Exit 273 (Smithville/McMinnville). Go south on Hwy. 56; turn left immediately after crossing Hurricane Bridge. This drive leads to the Craft Center.
