Appalachian Center for Craft
Mark Abramson’s aerial photography exhibit, entitled “Global Warming: An American Perspective” is showing through Sept. 15 in Gallery Two.
Cara Long’s ceramics exhibit, entitled “New Works on Translucent Porcelain” is showing through Sept. 29 in Gallery One.
Sarah Hood’s metals and jewelry exhibit, entitled “Small World: Constructed Landscapes” will be shown Sept. 4 through Oct. 20 in the North Windows Gallery.
An International Welcome Event, cosponsored by One World, will be held on Thursday, Sept. 11 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on the Roaden University Center South Patio. The event is open to anyone on campus and will feature free international desserts.
The Appalachian Center for Craft is located six miles off Hwy. 56 (Interstate 40, Exit 273) near Smithville. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. The Joan Derryberry Art Gallery is located on the first floor of the University Center and is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
