Meghan Smith of Livingston was recently awarded the Carlene Hall Memorial Scholarship from Tennessee Tech University.
Smith is a sophomore pre-veterinarian student who hopes to open her own veterinary clinic in her hometown after completing her studies. She is an active member of the Block and Bridle Club at TTU and has been on the Dean’s List every semester.
Smith is one of three students selected to receive the scholarship, which is named in honor of the personal friend of an anonymous donor. An endowment of $500,000 was given to TTU’s Office of Disability Services to pay for scholarships for students with at least a 3.0 GPA and who meet several other criteria as set by the Office of Disability Services.
