The exhibit continues through Sept. 15 in Gallery Two of the Appalachian Center for Craft. Exhibition hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. >
This body of work investigates memory loss and personal fear of forgetting by attempting to physically preserve mental impressions before they are entirely forgotten.
"Memory loss has been a long-term personal fascination for me because of personal experience with my grandmother's struggle with Alzheimer's disease," Gose said.
<Gose has a bachelor in fine arts from the University of Colorado and a master of fine arts in photography from the Texas Woman's University. She is currently assistant professor of photography at the Memphis College of Art. Her work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally.>
The Appalachian Center for Craft is located approximately six miles from Interstate 40 at Exit 273 (Smithville/McMinnville). Go south on Highway 56; turn left immediately after crossing Hurricane Bridge. This drive leads to the Craft Center.
