Tennessee Tech University will recognize eight of its alumni Feb. 7 at its annual Outstanding Alumni banquet and reception.

Eight alumni will be recognized at the event, which begins at 6 p.m. at the Leslie Town Centre. Jerry Bellar, ’58 animal husbandry, will be recognized from the College of Agriculture and Human Ecology. Bob Luna, ’82 speech, will be recognized by the College of Arts and Sciences. Grady Williams, ’57 accounting, will be recognized by the College of Business. The College of Education’s awardee is Mark Heinrich, ’75 and ’76 psychology.

David Wright, ’80 civil engineering, will be recognized by the College of Engineering. The College of Interdisciplinary Studies will recognize Danny Brooks, ’03. The Whitson-Hester School of Nursing will recognize Steve Talbert, ’88. Athletics will recognize Tom Pemberton, ’11 chemistry.

The TTU Alumni Association has given the awards since 1975. In 2008, the awards were expanded to include one recipient for each of the university’s six colleges and again in 2013 to include Athletics.
