Published: Tue Jan 4, 2011Upper Cumberland-area clergy, ministers, church personnel and their advisers are invited to a free seminar on financial and tax issues from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 10 in Tennessee Tech University's Multipurpose Room located in the Roaden University Center.
Matters covered will include tax issues facing ministers and churches, best practices for handling ministry-related expenses, determining and documenting housing allowances of ministers, and new reporting requirements due to recent health care reform.
The seminar is designed primarily for ministers, church treasurers, secretaries and church budget personnel. Richard Skidmore, a church and clergy financial support specialist with many years of experience, will present the seminar.
