thumb golden_helix_photoStudents and community members interested in running in the Golden Helix 5K run should register by Monday.

The race is open to anyone and will start at 9 a.m. Sept. 17 at the intersection of Stadium Ave. and West 10th Street near Prescott Hall and Sherwood Park on the Tennessee Tech University campus. Children and pets are welcome.

Anyone who registers by Monday will receive a free purple and gold T-shirt. Late registrations will be accepted but a T-shirt is not guaranteed. The registration fee is $30 or $25 for TTU students. All proceeds go to support undergraduate chemistry research projects.

The TTU chapter of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is sponsoring the event, which is an open road race with a police escort.

 Checks should be made payable to TTU ASBMB.
