Hildebrant’s show, Submerged, is a collection of paintings that portray an unknown world inspired by the collision and fragility of plant ecosystems. She used a mix of wax and oil paint on panels to heighten textures and colors to form an increasingly odd invented environment.
Her paintings will be on display in the lobby gallery of the Bryan Fine Arts Building. There will a reception with the artist from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, in the lobby.
All TTU art students are required to host a solo show as their culminating academic experience before graduating with their bachelor of fine arts degree from TTU.
The Bryan Fine Arts Building is at 1150 N. Dixie Ave., Cookeville. The gallery and reception is free and open to the public.
