thumb 02._Kim_Sun_Kyuong_-_PairSilver jewelry designed to express physical interactions between people will be on display beginning Jan. 10 at Tennessee Tech University’s Appalachian Center for Craft.

Artist Sun Kyoung Kim’s work is inspired by the intricacies of the human body, especially the combination of bones, muscles and joints of the hand. Her jewelry in some cases forces and guides specific types of interaction between wearers.

Kim’s work will be on display in the Craft Center’s Gallery One until Feb. 23.

The Craft Center’s three galleries are free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

The Craft Center is approximately six miles from Interstate 40 at exit 273, Smithville/McMinnville. Go south on state Route 56; turn left immediately after crossing Hurricane Bridge. This drive leads to the Craft Center.
