The Android version will be available later this semester. Both versions will offer an online payment feature and mobile access to iLearn, which allows TTU students to access course materials and collaborate with each other.
“This is a way to better serve our students and keep them connected to the university,” said TTU marketing director Bobbie Maynard. “It will be a way for them to have the most updated information available, no matter where they are.”
The app contains news features, course catalogs, a staff directory, photos and videos and other elements. It also includes an emergency feature, with phone numbers for campus police and the counseling center.
A red “push for help” button at the top of the page immediately dials 911.
The app is free and is available in the Apple store. Until the Android version is live, Android users can access the same information on their phones by visiting m.tntech.edu.
